Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) Policy

FP Markets Ltd ("Company"), registered in the Republic of Cyprus, is committed to preventing money laundering and terrorist financing. This AML Policy outlines the measures we take to comply with applicable laws and regulations.
1. Legal Framework
The Company operates in accordance with:
- The Prevention and Suppression of Money Laundering Activities Law of Cyprus (Law 188(I)/2007), as amended.
- EU Directives (AMLD 4, 5, and 6).
- Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Recommendations.
2. Partner Due Diligence
We conduct thorough Know Your Customer (KYC) checks on all Partners, including:
- Identity verification (passport, national ID, driver's licence).
- Address verification (utility bill, bank statement).
- Business registration documents and beneficial ownership disclosure.
- Ongoing monitoring and periodic re‑verification.
3. Transaction Monitoring
All transactions processed through the Partner Exchange Platform are monitored in real‑time for suspicious activity. Unusual patterns (e.g., large cash deposits, rapid turnover without logical explanation) are escalated to our Compliance Officer.
4. Reporting Obligations
If we suspect that funds are related to criminal activity, we are obligated to file a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) with the Cyprus Financial Intelligence Unit (MOKAS) and/or other competent authorities.
5. Partner Responsibilities
Partners must:
- Conduct their own KYC on clients if required by local law.
- Ensure that fiat funds are received only from verified client bank accounts.
- Report any suspicious transactions to us immediately.
- Maintain records of all transactions for at least five (5) years.
6. Training & Awareness
Our staff receive regular AML/CFT training to ensure they can identify and handle suspicious activities appropriately.
7. Penalties
Non‑compliance with AML regulations may result in severe penalties, including fines, imprisonment, and termination of the partnership.
